Having been in the optical industry for the past 40 years, this venture is but another step along the road. I started in the 80's as a rep for a company called Neostyle. Some of you old-timers may remember it. I served them for 15 years until diving into a retail operation by the name of Central Eyeworks. I spent just under 15 years there before taking a break from the business to take care of my aging father.

 No sooner than I had settled into that segment of my life, the opportunity to take over distribution of Flair Eyewear in the U.S. came along.  Flair was bought out at the beginning of 2020 and the new company took over distribution of the line in July of 2022. I wish them all the very best of luck. 

As a licensed optician in the State of Arizona and, having acquired the capability of glazing Flair frames, I felt compelled to create something woefully missing in the rimless market. Unfortunately, I'd been diagnosed with late stage prostate cancer and needing to have it removed before it decided to kill me. Get your PSA's checked gentleman. So,I found myself with time on my hands and I put it to good use. 

The birth of Imagine Optics was quite organic. The more I created, the more that came to be. One thing lead to another and, after showing the collection to a few customers, I understood that this was something the market would enjoy. Sometimes, fun just has to win out over boring.
